Geometric blocks of colour are featured in SONIA BY SONIA RYKIEL’s Fall/Winter Collection. Think stripes, polka dots, and tartans… this season is all about print patterns. The collection is very youthful and vibrant, with colour harmonisation. An aqua belt complementing with a wintery grey coat, or a peach belt in harmony with a pink dress. Black overalls with bold red and white blocking details. One of my favourite looks is a wide orange belt tied behind a tartan patterned fur coat. Similarly, try a wine red assembled with mono stripe details and paired with polka dot boots. Or if you’re the sporty type, try stripe belts around the waist and a patterned coat that hangs above your shoulder. Keep it feminine with flared skirts and diverse use of pink all around.
But it’s not just all about geometric patterns, there is one particular look that caught my eye – the ONLY floral look in the collection. Blooming in turquoise on a piece of black canvas; a mystical and romantic look. Although it is a stark contrast against all the other pieces, its simplistic and sporty structure as well as refreshing aqua shades keeps it connected to the SONIA BY SONIA RYKIEL collection.
